When your tooth is being removed, the dentist can first anesthetize the region and make you more relaxed during the  extraction. Place a cold towel or an ice pack on your cheek if you have swelling, then contact your dentist. Tell the dentist about analgesics. Stop cleaning removed teeth over time (as recommended by your dentist).
